Its Okay to Talk is a platform to help young people navigate mental health challenges, like depression and anxiety, using stories shared by peers with similar experiences. Through this web platform, users to discover stories, engage with them, self-reflect, and share their own stories.

Features

Its Okay to Talk (IOTT) is open to all. You can read stories without signing up. To bookmark stories and save your self-reflections, sign up with email or mobile number.

Browse safely

Select themes of interest, and hide stories that contain triggers. Also, your personal profile allows you to mark permanently hide stories with certain triggers, and indicate your interest for specific themes.

Bookmark & react

Bookmark stories that interest you, and react to specific sections of a story. This data is private; bookmarks and reactions of one user are not used to influence content shown to other users.

Reflect on stories

Each story concludes with space for reflection. Reflections are private. All your data remains strictly in your control; you can purge your browsing history at any time, and also delete your account.

Share your story

Each story submission is read and processed by a member of the Sangath mental health team. You can choose to remain anonymous.

Bilingual by design

IOTT conforms to i8n guidelines for multilingual web development. Each component, be it a button, placeholder, or story section, is available in Hindi and English.
